Heart Kids Welcomes New CEO

Heart Kids NZ welcomes Kate Figgins as the new CEO.  Kate has been involved with Heart Kids for many years. Her mum is Michelle Mann, one of the founding members of Heart Kids and Kate’s family have been heavily involved with Heart Kids since its inception.   Kate will start on Monday 21 January.

Kate replaces Chief Executive Rob Lutter who left New Zealand in early January to take up the role of CEO Heart Kids Australia. Rob has lead Heart Kids NZ for four and a half years but has been part of the organisation for more than 21, when his own heart son, Zac was born.

Rob says the move to Australia can only make for a stronger Heart Kids trans-Tasman relationship. he's also paid tribute to the heart Kids team around New Zealand, and to all the amazing heart kids and their families.

"I truly work with an amazing team of people who care about our families. Heart Kids is in a strong position, fiscally sound and with the best fundraising team ever and we have almost doubled our Family Support Team, from when I started. We are on target to reach our December 2020 goal of equitable family support around New Zealand. I also acknowledge our volunteer board who provide us strategic direction."
