It is with immense gratitude to our members and to the Heart Kids staff that the Board presents our Heart Kids NZ 2021-2025 Strategic Plan.
Many of you had input into this plan at the formative stage when we held strategy meetings across the country in June and July this year. Your voice and those of our committees, Young Adults Advisory Group (YAAG), volunteers, staff, and wider membership have been instrumental in shaping this strategy and I thank you sincerely for your contribution.
The Strategy provides a clear road map for how Heart Kids NZ will fulfil its mission, which is to provide lifelong support for all affected by the world’s most common birth difference or heart disease acquired during childhood.
It is an ambitious strategy, but we are confident we will achieve each goal with the support of our committed staff, volunteers, members, donors, and partners.
Our desired end goal is that all people affected by congenital heart disease and disease acquired during childhood will feel fully supported, connected, informed and hopeful for the future.
