Our heart community is full of kind-hearted Kiwis who want to make a difference for the hundreds of heart children who are impacted by a childhood heart condition each year in Aotearoa NZ.
Our community fundraisers come from all walks of life, and from all around the country, but they have one common goal: Making a difference for our heart members.
Our community fundraisers run marathons, hold online streaming events, bake sales and sausage sizzles, quiz nights and discos, some will swim great lengths or cycles for miles… the options are endless.

All throughout the country, there are kind-hearted people who support charities with the organisations or events they run. We are grateful to partner with some of them, and you can see them below. When birthdays and weddings come around, people start asking ‘What would you like?’ and sometimes you really don’t need anything. The Good Registry has made it easy for situations like this. Why not ask your friends and family to donate to Heart Kids NZ in the name of your birthday, wedding, engagement party, memorial or leaving party? It’s really easy; all you need to do is create your registry over at The Good Registry and share the link with people to donate towards it.
The Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge is an iconic event where bikers of all abilities get together to ride the roads (and backroads) around Taupō. Not only is this event great for your physical health, it’s the perfect event to fundraise for Heart Kids NZ while doing it too! If you are planning on taking part in the challenge, the organisers of the Lake Taupō Cycle Challenge have adopted a ‘multi-charity’ approach meaning you can now fundraise for any charity in New Zealand, not just the featured ones on their website. During the sign-up process you enter all your details and once you have officially signed up you get sent a link to ‘find or request a charity to fundraise for’ which is when you can pick Heart Kids NZ. Cycling is one of the recommended sports for heart kids to partake in – so it’s the perfect fundraising activity to raise some much-needed funds for heart kids all around Aotearoa.
